Update — October 30, 2026: Reuters reports that the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ebola outbreak has exceeded 5,000 deaths and 10,000 infections, citing government data. Eight provinces are affected. www.reuters.com

WHO’s October 23 report recorded 9,704 confirmed cases and 4,687 deaths through October 20, and documented spread to Kenya and Nigeria. The figures reflect different reporting dates.

25. DEATHS AND DISAPPEARANCES — AEROSPACE, NUCLEAR & ADVANCED-SYSTEM PERSONNEL

Updated: August 27, 2026

Since 2022, a shifting list of scientists, engineers, military personnel and institutional employees connected to aerospace, nuclear-security and advanced-research organizations has drawn public and federal attention.

On April 20, 2026, the House Oversight Committee requested briefings from the Department of Energy, Department of War, FBI and NASA concerning “at least ten” deaths or disappearances. Importantly, the committee described the underlying reports as unconfirmed public reporting. The FBI subsequently said it was coordinating with other agencies to look for possible connections. No publicly released federal finding has established a common perpetrator, operation or cause.

OPEN MISSING-PERSON CASES

Anthony “Tony” Chavez — Retired Los Alamos construction/HVAC foreman; missing since May 2025.

Monica Jacinto Reza — JPL materials engineer and co-developer of a high-temperature rocket-engine alloy; missing since June 2025.

Steven Abel Garcia — Government contractor/property custodian connected to the Kansas City National Security Campus; missing since August 2025.

Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland — Retired Air Force Research Laboratory commander and astronautical engineer; missing since February 2026. Authorities have publicly reported no evidence of foul play.

UNRESOLVED OR PUBLICLY INCOMPLETE DEATH FINDINGS

Melissa Casias — Los Alamos administrative assistant; disappeared in June 2025. Her remains were recovered in May 2026. The autopsy established a gunshot wound to the head as the cause of death, but the manner remains undetermined because investigators could not determine whether it was self-inflicted, homicidal or otherwise. Two phones were reportedly found factory-reset.

Frank Werner Maiwald — JPL instrument researcher; died in July 2024. No cause has been publicly disclosed.

Michael David Hicks — Former JPL planetary scientist; died in July 2023. His family reported known medical problems, while the specific cause was kept private.

CASES WITH IDENTIFIED ACCIDENTAL, MEDICAL OR CRIMINAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Joshua Kyle LeBlanc — ADDED — NASA Marshall electrical engineer who worked on nuclear-propulsion projects. He died July 22, 2025, after his Tesla left an Alabama roadway, struck a guardrail and trees, and caught fire. His movements before the crash raised questions for his family, but no public evidence connects his death to the other cases.

Jason Thomas — Novartis chemical biologist; disappeared in December 2025 and was recovered from a Massachusetts lake in March 2026. Authorities reported that no foul play was suspected.

Nuno Loureiro — MIT plasma and fusion physicist; murdered in December 2025. The FBI concluded that Claudio Manuel Neves Valente acted alone and found no terrorism nexus.

Carl Grillmair — Caltech astrophysicist; murdered in February 2026. A suspect was charged following an alleged local carjacking and burglary sequence.

Amy Eskridge — Alabama exotic-propulsion researcher; died in June 2022. Authorities ruled her death a suicide. Claims about threats or harassment before her death remain allegations and require attribution.

Matthew James Sullivan — ADJACENT CASE ADDED — Former Air Force intelligence officer and Bronze Star recipient; died in May 2024. Medical-examiner findings reported an accidental mixed-drug overdose. Representative Eric Burlison later asked the FBI about Sullivan after reports claimed that he had intended to speak with congressional investigators concerning UAP programs. He was not a scientist or propulsion engineer and should remain identified as an adjacent military-intelligence case.

LAMINA RESEARCH NOTE

Fields overlap conceptually with Lamina Shields: propulsion, rocket materials, plasma, fusion, aerospace control and instrumentation.

No public evidence connects these individuals to Lamina Shields or targeting over related research.

The federal review demonstrates that officials considered the question worth examining. It does not establish that the cases are connected. Four disappearances and one undetermined gunshot death remain legitimate matters for continued observation.

26. SPECIAL NOTICE — WHY JAPAN ATTACKED THE US: PEARL HARBOR 1941

Official cause: 1941 US oil embargo cut 80% of Japan's fuel; US Pacific Fleet stood between Japan and Dutch East Indies oil.

Fuller picture: from 1937, Roosevelt covertly authorized the Flying Tigers — US military personnel resigned commissions, signed with a US-government shell company, paid double salary, actively killed Japanese pilots over China years before Pearl Harbor.

Japan attacked a country covertly at war with them for years. The pattern — proxy forces, shell companies, plausible deniability, then "surprise" retaliation — has recurred since.

27. IRAN CEASEFIRE DECLARED OVER — NATO ANKARA SUMMIT

Added July 8, 2026. At the NATO Ankara summit, Trump stated the Iran ceasefire is over.

Same summit: Trump directed Treasury to cut off trade with Spain over its refusal to commit to NATO's 5%-of-GDP target, compounded by Spain denying US base access/airspace during the Iran conflict. Second such order (first in March went unenforced); enforceability disputed since EU trade policy is set collectively. Spain called it "business as usual."

Trump also renewed pressure on Denmark over Greenland; called himself "very unhappy with NATO."

29. WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS — ACTIVE FRONTS ROLL CALL

Russia/Ukraine: 5th year, largest conventional land war in Europe since WWII, static grinding front, deep-strike exchanges continuing.

Sudan: past 3rd anniversary, judged most likely conflict to escalate further in 2026; 10M+ displaced.

Iran/Israel/US: June 17 MOU didn't hold; ceasefire declared over July 8 (Entry 27); Hormuz strikes and counter-strikes; Bahrain hit; transits down to a third of prewar volume.

Norway/Arctic (new front): Russian nuclear-capable bombers routinely patrol Norway-Iceland-Greenland waters; a Tu-142 intercepted by RN F-35Bs July 2 after approaching a NATO carrier group. Norway scrambling jets at highest rate since 2021. Svalbard flagged by NATO planners as a real seizure scenario.

30. TODAY'S LESSON — NORMALIZED STACKING

Entries 28-29 read separately are each unremarkable — a hot summer, a recall, a grid failure, familiar famine zones, a border skirmish. That is the mechanism worth naming: accustomization doesn't shrink what's being normalized, it only changes whether anyone notices.

When wars, rumors of wars, famine, and pestilence run concurrently and nobody blinks, the absence of alarm is itself the data point.

Matthew 24:6-8; Luke 21:34 — the warning is about the numbness, not just the events.

31. BLOOD-RED SKIES — WILDFIRE SMOKE

Canadian wildfire smoke filters sunlight, producing orange/red skies over Ontario and other provinces. Biblical imagery is a visual parallel.

Lamina Rule 3 (Expanded Occam's Razor): ancient authors described what they saw, not the mechanism — a first-century observer had no vocabulary for aerosol loading or transported smoke, and would describe appearance, not cause. That explains why the description may be phenomenological rather than technical; it does not establish fulfillment.

Revelation 8:7 specifies one-third of trees, not one-third of the Earth's forests. Current data: Canada 2023 (~18.5M hectares, largest season in its history) against ~4.14B hectares of global forest remaining. 2024 Global Forest Watch: fire became the leading driver of tropical primary forest loss for the first time. 2025: tropical loss declined from the record but stayed historically high. 2026: Canada burning heavily again, smoke reaching Washington state. We are nowhere near one-third of world forest burned in three years — that specific claim does not hold against measured data.

31B. CYCLOSPORIASIS — UPDATE

Outbreak continues expanding: confirmed/suspected cases in the thousands across 30+ states, Michigan the epicenter. Lettuce among suspected sources; no single supplier confirmed. 141 hospitalizations nationwide, no confirmed deaths.

Update: Taylor Farms de Mexico iceberg lettuce tied to Taco Bell locations in IN/KY/MI/OH/WV, recalled in 27 states. National case count 1,645+ confirmed; Michigan alone reporting 3,000+ with severe symptoms. CDC surveillance for cyclospora has been cut back since mid-2025 (dropped from FoodNet routine tracking) — real number likely undercounted.

Separately: 19M eggs recalled July 24 — small fraction of the ~8B eggs Americans eat monthly; 98 illnesses, no deaths, no unusual severity, no cross-pattern with other entries.

46. GREENLAND UNAUTHORIZED DRILLING — AUGUST 8, 2026

Texas-based Greenland Energy (chairman Larry Swets, tied to Trump's inner circle) began landing drilling equipment on Greenland's east coast (Jameson Land) without government permission — Greenland's authorities issued a "strong warning," said no landing permit was granted, and all logistics must go through the Mineral Resources Authority. Company claims ~$1 trillion in potential crude reserves; 300 containers of equipment slated to ship from Canada in September, operations targeted for October. Two days after Greenland's rebuke, Trump posted an AI-generated image on Truth Social of himself looming over the island: "Hello, Greenland!" — continuing his long-stated annexation push.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia on August 10, the country's strongest this century. The death toll has risen above 250, with widespread building collapse, damaged schools and medical facilities, communities cut off, thousands displaced, and more than 100 aftershocks reported as rescue operations continue.

48. CANADIAN WILDFIRES — EVACUATIONS CONTINUE, AUGUST 11

Western Canada's fire emergency has intensified again. A major British Columbia wildfire expanded overnight after forcing roughly 20,000 people to evacuate. Canada's national wildfire system continues tracking widespread active fire activity as the 2026 season carries forward rather than winding down.

49. EUROPE — FIRE SEASON REMAINS EXTREME, AUGUST 11

European wildfire activity remains historically elevated. EU monitoring reported approximately 552,000 hectares burned and more than 1,600 fires detected by August 11. That remains below the same point in record-setting 2025, an important qualification, but confirms another exceptionally severe European fire season continuing alongside the North American fires.

50. CONTINUING SEISMIC ACTIVITY — AUGUST 12

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the South Sandwich Islands region on August 12. Smaller earthquakes continue elsewhere, including a pair near Corona, California. Neither event belongs in the same damage category as Colombia; they are recorded only as continuation of the broader seismic activity already being watched.

51. FIRE / FLOOD / STORM STACK CONTINUES — AUGUST 12

While fires remain active across North America and Europe, severe storms struck the US Midwest and Ohio Valley, producing flooding, reported tornadoes, at least two deaths, and power outages affecting hundreds of thousands of customers.

52. LAKE ONTARIO / “LAKE AMERICA” — CROSS-BORDER NAMING DISPUTE, AUGUST 27, 2026

President Trump signed an executive order directing U.S. federal agencies and the U.S. geographic-naming system to use “Lake America” for Lake Ontario. The order applies to United States federal maps, records, contracts, and communications.

Canada has not adopted the change. Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that Canada will continue to call the shared waterway Lake Ontario. The lake remains divided by the Canada–United States border; two governments now use different official names for the same body of water.

Naming dispute; no military action.

53. NEPAL FLASH FLOOD DISASTER — AUGUST 28, 2026

A glacier collapse near Nepal’s border with Tibet on August 26 triggered a catastrophic flash flood and debris flow through Himalayan valleys. Current reports place the death toll above 350, with hundreds still missing, including foreign pilgrims and tourists. Villages, roads, bridges, and a major border route were destroyed.

The immediate danger is not over. Debris from the collapse has formed unstable lakes upstream, raising concern that another breach could trigger further flooding downstream. Rescue and recovery work continues, but destroyed access routes are slowing the response.

At the same time, flooding and storm recovery remain active in parts of the northeastern United States after repeated heavy rain, flash flooding, and recent tornado damage. A new severe-weather threat has again placed large parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast under watches for damaging winds, flooding, and possible tornadoes.

54. HEAT, FIRE, AND STORMS CONTINUE TO OVERLAP — AUGUST 20

Deadly storms and a reported tornado struck parts of Germany while firefighting continued across the Balkans amid severe heat and drought. Belgium’s largest recorded wildfire also burned into peatland, where authorities warned it could smolder for months. No single event is necessarily unprecedented; the continuing overlap is the point being watched. AP report, Reuters report

55. HAWAII FACES A SECOND STORM THREAT AFTER LALA — AUGUST 23

56. DISASTER PRESSURE REMAINS MULTI-REGIONAL — AUGUST 24

Colombia’s August 10 earthquake response remained active through August 24, while new wildfire and flood activations continued across North America and elsewhere. 57. Continued: NEPAL FLOOD DISASTER — SCALE INCREASES, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Building on Entry 53: at least 1,367 people are now confirmed dead and more than 5,000 remain missing in Nepal following the August 26 glacier-collapse flood. Destroyed roads and bridges continue isolating communities, forcing Nepal’s army to use cargo drones to deliver food, medicine and fuel while search-and-rescue operations continue.

58. PESTILENCE UPDATE — EBOLA AND MEASLES, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Building on Entries 13, 14, 28 and 45: WHO’s August 28 report recorded 5,794 confirmed Bundibugyo Ebola cases and 2,786 deaths across 60 health zones in six provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The outbreak remains a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Entry 45 recorded 3,973 cases and 1,801 deaths on August 5.

Bangladesh is simultaneously experiencing the world’s largest current measles outbreak. More than 166,000 suspected cases have been reported since March, including 19,835 laboratory-confirmed infections. Authorities have linked 999 suspected or confirmed deaths to the outbreak, including 100 confirmed measles fatalities. Disrupted vaccination programs, supply shortages and hospital overcrowding remain active concerns.

59. WAR / SHIPPING / ENERGY ESCALATION — SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Building on Entries 24, 29 and 40–45: Iran stated that it attacked ten ships near the Strait of Hormuz after the United States military said it destroyed five Iranian oil tankers. The United States described its strikes as retaliation for attempted Iranian missile attacks against a U.S. Navy vessel. Iran also fired ballistic missiles toward a base used by American forces in Jordan.

     J  Note #1 - Unconfirmed report — March 16, 2026: An anonymous forum post alleged that Ontario pilots were being paid to disperse ticks from aircraft. A Canadian Press investigation published May 29 found no verified evidence of these drops. The Ontario Federation of Agriculture reported receiving no reports of farmers finding tick boxes in their fields.

Today’s observation — October 9, 2026: A social media post described chronic wasting disease (CWD), sometimes called “zombie deer disease,” affecting deer, elk and moose.

CWD is a decades-old disease, first identified in the 1960s. It is caused by misfolded proteins called prions, damages the nervous system, and is fatal. An animal’s appearance alone cannot confirm it. Its established spread involves infected animals and contaminated environments. Saliva, urine, feces and carcasses can contaminate soil, vegetation or water; the prions can remain infectious for years.

There is a possible tick connection: A 2023 study found CWD prions in ticks feeding on infected deer. Researchers proposed that deer could ingest contaminated ticks while grooming each other. That study did not demonstrate ticks transmitting CWD between deer, and whether this happens in the wild remains uncertain.

No verified connection was found between CWD and the alleged tick drop. Ontario’s current guidance says CWD has not been detected in Ontario wildlife, although it is present in neighbouring provinces and states. It also has not been shown to infect humans; authorities advise against eating infected animals.

Britain reinforces household emergency preparedness

On October 22, the UK government announced updated “Be Ready” guidance asking households to keep three days of bottled water and non-perishable food.

The campaign addresses interruptions to electricity, water, communications and other essential services. Officials say it brings Britain into line with preparedness campaigns already operating in several European countries.

Watcher’s observation: Governments are placing greater public emphasis on households being able to manage the first days of disruption. This is a development worth monitoring, without assigning a date or cause to a future emergency.

Prepare calmly, check on vulnerable neighbours, and follow verified local guidance.
